Even with temps in the 70's today and lots of humidity the signs of fall are all around. The pool is closed for the season and most of the rainbarrels have been stowed for safekeeping. Hydrangea blooms are hanging in the garage drying and the trees's leaves are beginning to lose their bright green luster but gaining various shades of autumn. And I moved the terre cotta jack o' lantern out from under the pine tree to beside the garage door and my friendly scarecrow to his prominent location in the driveway bed to greet our visitors.
